Jeanne
L. Allert, M.Ed. As Director of Program Design for the Caliber Learning Network, Jeanne led instructional designers, web developers, and television producers to create an integrated, multi-platform approach to distance learning. Under her management, the design team was awarded "Best Distance Learning Program for Corporate Audiences" and the company was recognized as the "Most Significant Advance in Distance Learning," in 1998. She also provided on-camera hosting and program moderation for live broadcasts with Microsoft, Computer Associates, Deloitte & Touche, Projects in Knowledge, Johns Hopkins University, University of Pennsylvania and several Caliber events. As the Information Systems Director at the American Association of Retired Persons, she led the full range of I.S. services including systems analysis, strategic planning, technology research, technical training, and help desk services. Before AARP, Ms Allert was the designer of technical training courseware for the U.S. Intelligence Communities. She owned a distance learning consulting practice that served the Federal Government, education, corporations and national associations. Jeanne founded the Washington Metropolitan Chapter of the United States Distance Learning Association and remains active in the eLearning industry. Jeanne is a regular contributor to association industry publications and is a sought-after public speaker. She has appeared at conferences in Norway, England, Sweden, France, Egypt, and across the United States. For the US Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), she co-authored and presented a 2-week course on educational technologies to state trainers and designed and presented at a week-long technology conference for dignitaries of the United Arab Emirates. In addition to her leadership role in Ellipsis Partners, Jeanne serves as Adjunct Professor for the Loyola College in Baltimore teaching Internet Marketing in the graduate school and lecturing on eCommerce in the undergrad program, and has been Guest Faculty at the George Washington University and the University of Connecticut. She was named "One of the Top 100 Women in Computing" by McGraw Hill Publishers and awarded the title of "Outstanding Woman of Technology" in Washington, D.C. Jeanne holds a Masters of Education and Bachelor of Arts degree and has served as a public school teacher, adult educator, and technical trainer. Steve Allert's diverse technical background, from hands-on engineering to project management, has proven to be an asset for the projects he has worked on with Ellipsis Partners. Steve has served as the Project Manager for several of the company's larger clients, and often takes on additional roles and responsibilities such as those of Lead Researcher, Product Presenter and Client Manager. Steve comes to Ellipsis Partners from WorldCom where he functioned as a Systems Administrator and, later, as a Project Engineer on system integration and automation projects for the Network Engineering Department. Prior to working at Worldcom, Steve served the US Marine Corps as an Electronic Signals Intelligence Technician and Analyst and, after graduation from the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA, as a non-native linguist and Foreign Area Officer throughout Southeast Asia. Steve received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Management from Southern Illinois University and a Master of Arts in International Management Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas, Executive Study Program. He also holds an AAS in Electronics Technologies. Until recently, Steve volunteered his time to the City of Richardson Citizen Fire Academy and was a member of two recreational hockey leagues. Steve is an avid cyclist and takes time off each year for extensive bike trips. He's cycled through Spain, Morocco, Portugal, Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Malaysia. Rebecca Breeden got her association legs developing, implementing and marketing products and services in a technology savvy trade organization. She has since focused her career on optimizing and developing association benefits using online and technical tools. Becky focuses her efforts with Ellipsis Partners' clients on how they use technology tools to attract and keep customers. Becky has worked directly to select and implement large association management systems as well as single online tools by analyzing current marketing methods and enhancing those through the use of technology. She is an active member of the association community and has worked with both associations as well as vendors to the community for the past 14 years. She has done presentations on "The Marriage of Marketing and Technology" for the National Association Users Group and on the use of specific technologies in membership sales and retention for the Association of Membership and Marketing Executives. Becky is member of the American Society of Association Executives, the Greater Washington Society of Association Executives Network and the American Marketing Association. A native of South Carolina, she is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in journalism. She began her career as a reporter for the Associated Press before moving into the association world as the manager of programs and publications for the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce. Becky most recently worked as the director of marketing for the National Defense Industrial Association before joining Ellipsis. Ann was one of the original founders of Ellipsis Partners, bringing 14 years of marketing research and product development experience. Her efforts for the Company focus on market and product research, along with marketing planning and implementation for associations and other non-profit clients. The client projects Ann leads include market assessments (survey, focus groups, market scans) elearning and other online initiatives, as well as conducting product feasibility studies. Ann has an appetite for competitive intelligence gathering and identifying models of practice for our clients to consider. She is particularly adept and at integrating online and traditional marketing tactics into an integrated campaign. Formerly, Ann served as Executive Vice President of e.ssociation, forging their business development and marketing strategies. Before that she headed Product Management for a nationally known online education company, launching distance learning programs for renowned academic institutions, particularly in the medical and business fields. Ann was pivotal in launching graduate level and CME-accredited distance learning coursework for Johns Hopkins University, Columbia University, Wharton, and the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. In this capacity she was required to research CME requirements and initiate the application process in states across the nation. Ann also ran her own independent consulting company – AGS Marketing--providing market research, competitive intelligence, launch strategies, and promotional campaigns for dozens of clients in the healthcare, education, and consumer products industries. Ann’s educational experience begins with a Bachelors Degree in Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology. After 5 years she migrated into marketing and worked as a marketing executive for Fortune 100 companies. Ann’s most recent educational venture was to earn a masters degree in acupuncture from the Tai Sophia Institute. Her new training gives her a unique perspective on human interaction and frames work and success in a more holistic way. A knowledgeable market researcher and strategist, Tlia Dennis offers Ellipsis Partners clients the essential information and analysis needed to make decisions in a shifting market. T'lia is adept at mining the Web for information and discerning in assessing that information's credibility and relevance. T'lia provide market research, marketing strategic planning, and content conversion support for Ellipsis Partners' clients. Working as a Research and Advertising Assistant at the Caliber Learning Network, Tlia supported the launches of several academic distance learning programs. Her clients included such distinguished institutions as Johns Hopkins University and Columbia University Teachers College. Her role as Marketing Specialist and Associate Product Manager for AGS Marketing equipped Tlia to use research as a basis for consumer product launches. Tlia draws on her expertise in research to help clients establish sound marketing plans that are based first and foremost on a customers needs. Evidence gathered through primary and secondary research is skillfully crafted into print and online web advertisement copy, competitive analysis, direct and email mail strategies and decisions leading to new technology initiatives. Laura Dernoga has a broad background that boils down to one thing: complex project management. With the Caliber Learning Network, she acted as a Program Manager and a Program Designer, coordinating all aspects of complex distance learning projects with Fortune 500 companies. Laura worked closely with Caliber programmers to help test, diagnose and provide creative solutions to their software. At Ellipsis Partners, Laura gets to use all of her experience. Most recently, as a consultant with our Web Maintenance and Marketing Services group, she has been responsible for supporting day-to-day web efforts as well as assisting in the implementation of a web-based Information and Referral project. She supports Technology Services with her project management skills, quality assurance experience and creative problem solving. Laura has an MBA and served the Boy Scouts of America for over ten years on both a volunteer and professional level, adding significant nonprofit experience to her formal business training. A seasoned technical and soft skills trainer, Helen Young provides Ellipsis Partners with a specialty in distance learning and technical skills training. Working with such notable groups as Nabisco, John Hopkins University, Sylvan Learning Systems, University of Pennsylvania, AARP, and others, Helen has helped these professionals integrate office automation and instructional technology into their work lives. She has experience designing and delivering courses on MS Office products, customized databases, and web sites. She has extensive experience both developing and guiding the development of courses and presentations for distance learning environments. Helen's skill set has ported across many media. She has worked with desktop automation, satellite broadcasting, national public radio, and Internet. Her professional passion, however, remains in the classroom offering train-the-trainer programs to nonprofit and corporate audiences. |
