Marcie Peck is a senior consultant with Ellipsis Partners with proven leadership experience developing marketing and communications strategies that shape perception, enhance reputation, and increase value. A collaborative leader and creative problem solver, she has extensive experience assessing organizational need, measuring the pulse of key audiences, developing targeted strategies, and leveraging the appropriate channels to enhance an organization’s brand and enable its growth.
At Ellipsis Partners, Marcie leads our communications services. She is passionate about helping clients communicate more effectively to tell their story, further their mission, and create organizational alignment. Marcie designed a comprehensive communications audit through which she guides clients on how to best understand and reach their target audiences. These detailed audits include analysis of communications content, planning and strategy, and recommendations on how to effectively incorporate a wide variety of content across multi-platform communications channels. She also supports Ellipsis Partners’ website and social media assessments, web governance initiatives, and CMS system selection engagements.
For our clients who seek to better understand their members, Marcie leads quantitative and qualitative research projects measuring constituent attitudes and behavior and turning those research findings into strategic plans which result in increased satisfaction and measurable behavior change.
A native of Minnesota, Marcie attended Pillsbury College, majoring in English and Theology. A position on a winning U.S. Senate campaign in Minnesota propelled her to the Washington, D.C. area where she continued her career on Capitol Hill working for a national political party in campaign communications.
In 1997, Marcie transitioned from politics to the corporate world, where she spent nearly a decade leading public relations, marketing/communications and community relations for KPMG LLP across the Mid-Atlantic Region. During her tenure at KPMG she earned a master’s degree in International Commerce and Policy from George Mason University’s School of Policy, Government and International Affairs.
Prior to joining Ellipsis Partners in 2012, Marcie spent four years at USA TODAY, designing and implementing marketing efforts for joint educational initiatives with NASA, ConAgra Foods, Allstate, Best Buy and Macy’s.
In the association and nonprofit world, she has served Kappa Alpha Theta, the Medical Society of Virginia, National Association for Law Placement, Consortium for School Networking, CASSS, Manufacturers Alliance for Productivity and Innovation, Colorado Municipal League, NAFSA, The Newseum, League of MN Cities, and Texas Association of School Business Officials.
Marcie and her husband Jeff reside in the Austin, Texas area with their two children and their Golden Retriever, named Tucker.
